Who I Am
I’m Dr. Salli Nichols, an analyst, educator, and homeschooling parent. My passion is helping people see that math and data aren’t abstract or intimidating, but woven into the world around us.
With a background in data and decision sciences and professional experience as an operations research analyst, I’ve spent years using numbers to solve complex problems. But beyond the workplace, I’ve also seen how math shows up in everyday life: in maps, recipes, travel, music, and the decisions we make without even realizing it.
What I Believe
Math and data aren’t just things to memorize in school; they’re tools for exploration. I believe that learning should feel connected to life, not confined to a textbook. Whether through travel, homeschooling projects, or everyday problem-solving, I look for ways to uncover the patterns that shape our world.

Why This Matters
My goal is simple: to replace math anxiety with curiosity. To show families, learners, and lifelong explorers that the world itself is the classroom and math and data are the guides that help us make sense of it.
